Former Disney animator Glen Keane Discusses his Future Plans!
American animator, author and illustrator Glen Keane attends the 2012 Dallas Film Society Honors, being awarded with the 2012 Texas Avery Animation Award presented by Reel FX. The Texas Avery Animation Award honors the best and brightest of the animation industry.
A 36 year veteran of Walt Disney Feature Animation, Glen Keane is most noted for creating and animating such legendary Disney characters as Ariel in "The Little Mermaid", Aladdin, Pocahontas, the Beast from "Beauty and the Beast", and Tarzan. Most recently Keane served as Supervising Animator and Executive Producer on Disney's 2010 box office hit, Tangled.
Mr. Keane discusses how it feels to be receiving the award, his recent announcement of retiring from Disney after more than 36 years, what he would like to do in the future, and more.
