Buena Vista Street History: Trolley Treats Candy Store, 2741 Buena Vista St.
Origins of name: The store is named after the Red Car Trolley electric vehicles, a ride that travels on a track down Buena Vista Street and is modeled after the real-life Los Angeles Red Car line. Trolley Treats prominently displays a scale model of Rock Candy Mountain, a focal point of Disneyland's Storybook Land Canal Boats ride that was never built.
Fictional back story: Trolley Treats offers "express service to the finest sweets in the city." In a nod to Rock Candy Mountain, the store promises "mountains of candy, around rivers of fudge, with hills of dew drops and valleys of taffy."
Street address: No significance
What it really sells: Hand-pulled taffy, gourmet marshmallows, caramel apples, toffee, dipped strawberries, packaged candy
