Blu-Ray Review: Pixar Short Films Collection: Voume 2!

Here is another blu-ray review! This time it is for the Pixar Short Films Collection: Volume 2! I am a huge fan of Pixar and their animated shorts! Let's get to the review!

There are all of Pixar's shorts released between 2007 and 2012 (excluding Partysaurus Rex), as follows:

• Your Friend the Rat

• Presto

• BURN-E

• Partly Cloudy

• Dug's Special Mission

• George & A.J.

• Day & Night

• Hawaiian Vacation

• Air Mater

• Small Fry

• Time Travel Mater

• La Luna

My favorite by far is Presto! One of the funniest, heartfelt shorts from any animation studio!

While most of you probably own most or all of the shorts already, this collection comes in handy if you want to watch them back-to-back without switching discs a dozen times.

Now I love all of the these shorts but the real treasure here are the student films by John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton and Pete Docter. These student films show their genius even at this early stage in their now famous careers. You get a real feel of John's sense of character and humor, Andrew's quirky sense of humor and Pete's sense of heart and emotion. If you are a fan of Pixar or just animation in general, the student films are more than enough reason to pick up this blu-ray!
