ReplyDeleteI love all of the songs!
ReplyDeleteI seen this so many times throughout my life I could probably go word for word verbatim If I was able to quote lines. I love the Wizard of Oz always for Dorothy and her ruby slippers. As a Child I would actually get red shoes that were shiny and sing Over the Rainbow. The songs are great. Love the fact that the Wizard of Oz took place in Kansas and that is where I lived about 17 years of my life it was a great show. The munchkins where actually real about 15 years ago I actually seen some that played on the Wizard of OZ as they had a traveling antique trailor they brought in and showed Wizard of Oz memorabilia in Topeka,KS Walmart. The slippers are so small like size 5 or 6 ruby ones. Brings back memories.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my dad's favorite movies, so my favorite thing about it is anytime I watch it, read about it, or listen to the music, I can feel close to him. I am keeping his memory alive by reading the book to my son, and would love to win the DVD so he can watch it as well!
ReplyDeleteWhen the Tin Man gets his heart and the Wizard tells him " And remember, my sentimental friend, that a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others." Makes me cry every time.
