Blu-Ray Review: Toy Story of Terror!

The Toy Story gang is back! This Halloween Television special deserves a place in your holiday tradition. There are endless horror movie references to spot, some great laughs and some fun new characters that make this worthy of the Toy Story name.

Our story starts with a flat tire that strands Bonnie and her mom at a roadside motel for the evening. One by one Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Mr. Potato Head, Rex, Mr. Pricklepants and Trixie disappear, each one a victim, of an unseen beast lurking in the shadows. Jessie meets Combat Carl, a soldier and survivalist. Both also become captured, prisoners of the motel owner Ron and his pet iguana Mr. Jones. With courage and help from some other new friends, Jessie must face her fears and save the day!

Video:
As with any Disney/Pixar release, the 1080p video is pristine! Details such as textures look photorealistic. Wait until you see the scene where Jessie and Combat Carl get captured! This is close to being flawless and can go toe to toe with any Toy Story release!

Audio:
The DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround sound track is just as solid as the video presentation. Dialogue is clean and intelligible. The rear channels recreate the sounds of classic horror movie design. The audio landscape is more movie like than television like. Toy Story of Terror! is a treat for your ears!

Conclusion:
A wonderful TV Special loaded with some great bonus content! The special is fantastic with stunning video and audio. Toy Story of Terror! feels like it's big brothers in terms of humor, teamwork and of course heart! This is a great addition to my library and to yours as well!
