DeleteMy family always had Hickory Farms beef stick sautéed in their sweet and sour sauce. I’ve had it every year since I can remember and it still makes it to every Christmas Eve table bcuz it wouldn’t be Christmas without it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday food is Pavlova ( Australian/ New Zealand dessert). I love Pavlova as there are so many different ways to decorate it ( fruits, chocolate, fruit pulp). It also brings back memories funny of trying to baking the base of the Pavlova and failing. Every time a Pavlova is brought out on Christmas Day someone always brings up the massive fail and how we now buy the Pavlova base from the supermarket

ReplyDeleteMy favorite food would be cake: because it’s cake lol but my fav holiday food would have to be my grandmas cherry yum yum. This has always stuck with me throughout the years. I could not wait till the holidays for Santa and his gifts, but also for cherry yum yum time. Now I truly miss this every year and wish I could eat this for Christmas or thanksgiving again. I would truly feel blessed. And yes I’ve tried recreating this from online recipes but it just isn’t what I had as a child ��

ReplyDeleteIt s typical Christmas cabbage soup with sausage and dried mushrooms. We make it only once a year during Christmas time. I also love "opekance" (a traditional Christmas Eve food made of dough and served as a sweet dish with poppy seeds and cinnamon).
